My chaotic life
Last night after I posted Francesca explained that I was welcomed to stay until I found a new family. She was the one who I felt really wanted me out as soon as possible, so as of now it looks like I am staying here and working for a little longer. I will keep you guys posted as things change. I am talking to an English woman who lives in Italy and has a full-time housekeeper and just needs someone to help her with her baby when she goes out. We will see.

I'm sorry you are having this trouble. I hope it gets worked out soon. Have you found out if your situation is common with au pairs?
I'll answer Joe's question. Most people seem to have an 'au pair situation gone bad' story. I am guessing that it will take a couple of weeks to get a new place settled. Hang in there. I would set a definite end date so this does not drag out too long. Take care. (And to think I spent all day imagining you on the train to Roma!)
