But I went out to lunch with one of the English speakers from London which was great because I got to speak English quickly without having to slow myself down.We stopped at a random place where I had broccoli quiche and Coca-cola. Then we went on a search for our textbook. We went into 3 bookstores and finally found someone who recognized the name of the book but when we went where it was supposed to be they were all out. So anyways we were by the duomo so I took pictures for you guys.
It was so much fun, because as usual for me it was just a big observational psychology experiment.
There are so many differences. Including it is a much more social culture. If you know someone you always stop and talk no matter what else is going on.

These four paintings are inside the mall next to the duomo. Just around the ceiling. It is amazing how much detail is in even the simplest places.

This is the good luck bull. You spin on one heel on his "private area" for good luck. Even the locals when they walked passed would stop and spin.
Now here are the pictures of Na Villa my landmark if I ever get lost, along with the church of Saint Christopher.

That's all for now. Enjoy.

First off, your blog is in California time. Maybe under preferences you can change this to GA time, or Italy time? (It really confuses mom when the time is right after she has e-mailed you, and you have not responded. Also, mom is too nervous too bring this to your attention, after she made the dumb comment on the Tony Mistretta's blog, and Tony informed her that China, was in fact, still a part of earth... as I assume Italy is)
Secondly, what are the people in your Italian class like (at least the ones that speak English)? Old, young? People like you that are staying for a year to putz or people that have moved there forever? Did you start with the class on the first class, or are you behind? Are most of the people in your class learning Italian from English? If not, think about how many languages she would have to know to be able to communicate with everyone!!
Things are pretty much the same around here. Mittens and I are playing a lot of fun games. Currently her favorite game happens to be the same as Caeli's favorite... lets-see-how-much-stuff-i-can-knock-on-the-floor-and-make-you-pick-up. This game is especially successful when I'm trying to get work done, and have twelve different pencils out!I'm trying to talk to her a lot, but you left big shoes to fill in that respect.
Sammy is still Sammy, nothing to report there I guess. Shes licking the carpet right now actually. I think its her way of saying hello to you!
Love from home!
ps- car keys are still missing. definitely blaming the cat for this one!
